I hope to make the learning experience a fun and exciting one, and  hope to instill a love of learning. It is important to keep in mind that we all build on small successes. Each child will progress at his/her own rate, acquiring skills as he/she is developmentally ready.  Maintaining each child’s self-esteem and building a growth mindset for a secure foundation for future growth will always remain a priority in my class.

A strong parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success. Throughout the year I will communicate with you through emails, telephone calls, progress reports and parent-teacher conferences. Every month, I send home a Middle School Math/Religion newsletter summarizing what we are learning, and any important school event dates and times.  I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.

For middle school students there is a weekly challenging puzzle that is TOTALLY optional. Sometimes they are language-based, or math-based, or logic puzzles. Some are hard. Some are easy. Students can join or not. If they join, there is NO requirement to participate unless desired.

Reward: bragging rights.
In order to participate, you need to join the Hallway Puzzle Google Classroom page:
